I grew up in Pittsburg, MO -- right across the street from Pomme de Terre Lake. My dad founded Akins Realty in 1984, twenty years before I was born. I have literally never known a world without real estate in it. I grew up in that office watching deals get made, and eventually realized it was exactly where I was supposed to be.
